West Newbury, Massachusetts is located Northeastern Massachusetts, bordered by Newburyport on the east, Newbury and Groveland on the south, and separated by the Merrimack River from Haverhill on the west and from Merrimack and Amesbury on the north. West Newbury is 13 miles northeast of Lawrence and 31 miles north of Boston. Principal highways are State Route 113 and Interstate Route 95. Interstate Route 495 runs just north of the town boundary along the Merrimac River. There is no passenger or freight rail service in West Newbury but the network of intermodal facilities serving Massachusetts is easily accessible.
