Wareham, Massachusetts is located Southeastern Massachusetts, bordered by Rochester on the west, Marion and Buzzards Bay on the south, Middleborough on the northwest, Carver and Plymouth on the north, Plymouth on the east, and separated from from Bourne by Buzzards Bay on the east. Wareham is about 20 miles east of New Bedford, 50 miles south of Boston, and 122 miles from New York City. Principal highways are U.S.Route 6, State Route 28 and State Route 25, which shares a roadway with Interstate 495. The Bay Colony Railroad provides freight rail service to Wareham.
