Wales, Massachusetts is located South central Massachusetts, bordered by Holland on the east; Stafford, Connecticut, on the south; Monson on the west, and Brimfield on the north. Wales is about 28 miles east of Springfield, 32 miles southwest of Worcester, 70 miles southwest of Boston, and 152 miles from New York City. The principal highway is State Route 19, which runs N-S and intersects with U.S. Route 20, a cross-state highway, in the neighboring town of Brimfield. There is no commuter or freight rail service to Wales, but the network of intermodal facilities serving Eastern Massachusetts is easily accessible.
