Southborough, Massachusetts is located Eastern Massachusetts, bordered by Westborough and Northborough on the west; Marlborough on the north; and Framingham, Ashland, and Hopkinton on the east, southeast, and south. From the intersection of Routes 9 and 85, Southborough is about 15 miles east of Worcester, 25 miles west of Boston, 26 miles south of Fitchburg, and about 190 miles from New York City. State Route 85 and Interstate 495, the outer belt around Boston, both run N-S through Southborough. The Massachusetts Turnpike and State Route 9 run E-W and form interchanges with I-495 in the neighboring town of Westborough. Conrail services a freight rail line through Southborough.
