Pembroke, Massachusetts is located Southeastern Massachusetts, bordered by Hanover, Norwell, and Marshfield on the north and northeast; Duxbury on the east; Kingston, Plympton, and Halifax on the south; and Hanson on the west. Pembroke is 14 miles east of Brockton, 16 miles north of Plymouth, 26 miles southeast of Boston, and 220 miles from New York City. Principal highways are State Routes 27, 36, 53 and 139, which forms an interchange with the Southeast Expressway (State Route 3) on the eastern border of Pembroke. Commuter rail service to South Station, Boston, will be available in 1996-97 on the Plymouth Line from South Hanson or Kingston. The MBTA Red Line is accessible from Braintree & Quincy. There is no freight rail service, but the network of intermodal facilities serving eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island is easily accessible.
