Montgomery, Massachusetts is located Southwestern Massachusetts, bordered by Southampton and Westfield on the northeast and east, Russell on the west, and Huntington on the northwest and north. Montgomery is about 20 miles west of Springfield, 105 miles west of Boston, and 140 miles from New York City. Principal highways are the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate Route 90), which passes by the southern tip of Montgomery, and U.S. Route 20, which follows along the southwestern border in Russell. There is no passenger or freight rail service in Montgomery, but the network of intermodal facilities serving Massachusetts is easily accessible.
