Eastern Massachusetts, bordered by Bridgewater and East Bridgewater on the west,
Middleborough on the south, Plympton on the east and southeast, Pembroke on the
northeast, and Hanson on the north. Halifax is 13 miles southeast of Brockton,
31 miles southeast of Boston, and 212 miles from New York City. Principal highways are State Routes 36, 58, and 106. Commuter rail service to South Station, Boston, will be available in
1996-97 on the Plymouth Line.
