Brewster, Massachusetts is located Southeastern Massachusetts, at the inside bend of the elbow of Cape Cod. Bordered by Cape Cod Bay on the north, Orleans on the east, Harwich on the south, and Dennis on the west. Brewster is 16 miles east of Hyannis; 83 miles southeast of Boston; 87 miles east of Providence, Rhode Island; and 264 miles from New York City. The principal road is the Mid-Cape Highway, U.S. Route 6. Other important highways include State Routes 6A, 124, and 137. There is no freight rail service, but the network of intermodal facilities serving eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island is easily accessible.
