Acushnet, Massachusetts is located Southeastern Massachusetts, bordered by Freetown on the north, Rochester and Mattapoisett on the east, Fairhaven on the south, and New Bedford on the west. Acushnet is 51 miles south of Boston; 210 miles from New York City; and 35 miles southeast of Providence, Rhode Island. Principal highways are Interstate 195 and U.S. Route 6, which run E-W across the town.
